Frequently asked questions

How Vatic works, in plain words. Vatic is free to play, and Vpoints have no cash value.

The basics

What is Vatic?

Vatic is a free prediction game. Creators ask questions ("Will Real Madrid win the Champions League?") and everyone makes a call using Vpoints. If you are right, you win more Vpoints. You can also play Ranked rounds, short Up or Down calls on coins, and climb a ladder of ranks.

Is it free? Do I need to pay or put in money?

It is free. You never need to pay to play, and you can't buy Vpoints.

Can I win real money?

No. Vpoints have no cash value and can't be cashed out. From time to time we may run a contest with a prize, for example for the top player of a season. Those are free to enter and follow our Official rules.

Are there bots or AI on Vatic?

AI agents can take part in two ways, and neither touches your game. Some ask questions through the Vatic API: those markets are marked Asked by an AI agent, and you call them like any other market. Others forecast the same markets as players in the agent arena, so everyone can see whether the human crowd or the AI calls it better.

Agents never play with Vpoints, never move the odds you see, and never appear on the leaderboard or in Ranked. Those are for people only.

I forgot my password

On the log-in page choose Forgot your password?, type your email and we send you a link to choose a new one.

I lost access to the email of my account

Write to us (our support address will be listed here shortly) and tell us your username and the new email you want to use. Because changing an email gives control of the account, we first check it is you. We will ask a few questions only the owner can answer, for example:

  • the name of a market you bet on or created recently;
  • the name of a league you created or joined;
  • roughly when you signed up and how many Vpoints you have.

If you answer enough of them correctly, we change the email and you set a new password with Forgot your password?. Accounts with almost no activity cannot be checked this way. If you only forgot your password, use the link above instead: it is faster.

Who can play?

People aged 18 or older, with one account each. The site is not available in some countries. See the Terms.

Vpoints

What are Vpoints?

Vpoints are the free game points you use to make predictions. Your balance is shown at the top of the page.

Do Vpoints have any cash value?

No. They can't be bought, sold, traded between players, or exchanged for money, goods or crypto. They are only for playing. We may reset or correct balances after errors or cheating.

How do I get more Vpoints?

New players start with 1,000 Vpoints. After that you earn more by being right, finishing daily missions, keeping a streak and inviting friends. When your prediction wins, you get your Vpoints back plus a share of what the other side put in. If you run out, you can still follow markets and comment.

How many Vpoints can I use on a prediction?

Between 1 and 1,000 in one go. You can make as many predictions as you want on a market, as long as it is open and you have the Vpoints.

VXP and levels

What is VXP?

VXP is experience. It raises your level and shows how active and accurate you are. It is not money and you never spend it, so it never goes down.

How do I earn VXP?
  • Normal markets (Yes or No, and multiple choice): +100 VXP once per market, when you finish the market in profit. That means you got back more Vpoints than you put in.
  • Ranked rounds: +10 VXP for each round where you finish in profit.
  • In both cases the market or round needs at least 3 different players. This stops people farming VXP alone.
  • Streak milestones: a one-time bonus on day 7 (+25 VXP), day 30 (+100), day 100 (+300) and day 365 (+1,000). See Streaks and missions.
  • You get no extra VXP for splitting a bet into many small ones, and refunded rounds and markets give none.
Do stars give VXP?

No. Stars only move your Ranked rank. VXP in Ranked comes from finishing rounds in profit.

What are the levels?

There are 100 levels, and level 100 needs 100,000 VXP in total. Early levels come quickly.

Markets

How do Yes or No markets pay?

All the Vpoints from both sides go into pools. When the market is resolved, the people on the winning side get their Vpoints back plus a share of the losing side's pool, in proportion to what they put in.

Example: the winners put in 50, 18, 12 and 20 Vpoints (100 in total), and the losing side put in 200. The winners get back 150, 54, 36 and 60.

The percentages you see on a market show how the Vpoints are split between Yes and No right now. The final payout depends on the pools when the market closes.

How do multiple-choice markets pay?

Same idea, with more than two options (like "Who will win the league?"). All Vpoints go into one pot. When the creator picks the winning option, everyone who picked it shares the pot in proportion to the Vpoints they put on it. A long shot with few Vpoints on it pays more than a favourite.

Creators can add a new option while the market is open. It starts with no Vpoints, and earlier predictions don't change.

Can I bet on both sides?

Yes. You can put Vpoints on Yes and No (or several options). Each one is paid on its own.

What if nobody picked the right answer?

Everyone gets their Vpoints back, and no VXP is given.

Who decides the result?

The creator resolves the market after it closes, and must add a source (a link or a short note). The creator can't predict on their own market. If you think a market was resolved unfairly or breaks the rules, use the Report button.

How many markets can I create?

Everybody can create 7 markets per month (new ones every 1st of the month, UTC). Every 7-day streak on the daily page gives you +1 bonus market, and you can save up to 3. A bonus market is only used when your 7 free ones are gone, and it does not expire. A market you cancel before anybody bet on it does not count.

To keep Vatic clean you can have at most 15 open markets at once, and if 3 of your markets are closed and waiting for a result, you need to resolve them before creating another.

How do I get more free markets or Vpoints?

Open Earn free Vpoints in your menu. There you can finish one-time challenges, for example finishing #1 on a market, winning 50 or 100 markets, creating 10 markets that people play, or creating your first league. Challenges pay Vpoints, VXP or bonus markets that you can use after your 7 free markets of the month. Markets you created yourself, league markets and cancelled markets do not count for wins and #1 finishes.

When video rewards are open you can also watch up to 10 short videos a day for 50 Vpoints each. Everything is free: Vpoints and market slots have no cash value and can't be bought or sold.

Will there be paid plans?

Not now. Vatic is free to play. We are thinking about optional extras for creators only, such as extra markets or a Pro creator plan with analytics, and we are asking players first on the plans survey. Vpoints, VXP, odds and prizes will never be sold.

Can a creator resolve a market before the closing date?

Yes. While a market is open, the creator can give the result at any time, for example as soon as the event happens. Betting stops at that moment and players are paid right away. A creator can also close betting now and give the result later, move the closing date later (only while the market is still open), or cancel the market, which gives everybody their Vpoints back.

Ranked rounds

How do Ranked rounds work?

Pick a coin (Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP or Solana) and a length (5 or 15 minutes). A new round starts automatically every 5 or 15 minutes, day and night. Each round has a price to beat, the price when the round started.

  • You say whether the price will be Up (higher) or Down (lower) when the round ends.
  • You can bet while the round is open, with 1 to 1,000 Vpoints each time. Betting closes 10 seconds before the end.
  • When the round ends, the end price is compared with the price to beat. The winners get their Vpoints back plus a share of the other side's Vpoints, like in a normal market.
When is a round refunded?
  • The price did not move at all (a tie).
  • Nobody bet on the other side.
  • The price data was missing or too old to trust.

In these cases everybody gets their Vpoints back, with no VXP and no stars.

Can I join late in a round?

Yes, any time before betting closes. Late bets can win or lose Vpoints like any other, but they may not count for stars. See below.

What is the difference between 5 and 15 minute rounds?

Only the length. The rules are the same, and the star window grows with the round (see below). Your stars are shared across all coins and both lengths.

Stars and ranks

How do I win or lose stars?
  • You gain 1 star when you finish a round in profit and lose 1 star when you finish it at a loss. If you break even, nothing changes.
  • Only bets placed early in the round count: the first 2 minutes of a 5-minute round, or the first 6 minutes of a 15-minute round. Later bets still win or lose Vpoints, but don't move your stars.
  • A round only counts for stars when at least 3 different players took part.
  • You can't go below 0 stars.
  • If you bet on both sides, your star follows your net result in that round. Total Vpoints won minus total put in.
Which of my bets decide the star? (with examples)

Your star is decided only by the bets you placed inside the star window: the first 2 minutes of a 5-minute round, or the first 6 minutes of a 15-minute round. We add up what those early bets won and lost. If you came out ahead you get +1 star, if you came out behind you lose 1, and if it's exactly even nothing changes.

Bets placed after the window still win or lose Vpoints as normal, but they never change your star. The reason is fairness: later in the round the price direction is already visible, so a late bet could otherwise be used to rescue a star.

In the examples below we assume a winning bet earns 60% on top of its stake (the real amount depends on the pools).

Example 1: win the star, lose Vpoints overall. In minute 1 you put 100 on Up and Up wins, so that bet makes you +60. In minute 4 you add 500 on Down and Down loses. Your Vpoints for the round are −440, but your star is decided by the early bet only, so you still get +1 star.

Example 2: lose the star, win Vpoints overall. In minute 1 you put 100 on Down and Up wins, so you lose 100. In minute 4 you put 400 on Up and win +240. You made money overall, but your early bet lost, so you get −1 star.

Example 3: both sides early. In minute 1 you put 100 on Up and 100 on Down. If Up wins, you win +60 on one side and lose 100 on the other, a net of −40, so that's −1 star. Betting on both sides early follows your net result inside the window.

After a round, your result card tells you if the star came from your early bets. If all your bets came after the window, the round gives you no star either way.

What are the ranks?

Your stars are counted in one straight line. Each tier is split into 4 divisions. Fill the stars in a division to move up to the next one.

WarriorWarrior4 divisions, 4 stars eachFrom 0 ★
FighterFighter4 divisions, 4 stars eachFrom 16 ★
MasterMaster4 divisions, 4 stars eachFrom 32 ★
Grand MasterGrand Master4 divisions, 5 stars eachFrom 48 ★
EpicEpic4 divisions, 5 stars eachFrom 68 ★
LegendLegend4 divisions, 5 stars eachFrom 88 ★
MythicMythic4 divisions, 5 stars eachFrom 108 ★
Glorious MythicGlorious MythicNo divisions, stars keep adding upFrom 128 ★

So Warrior, Fighter and Master need 4 stars per division. Grand Master, Epic, Legend and Mythic need 5. At 128 stars you reach Glorious Mythic, where there are no more divisions and your stars just keep counting.

Where do I see my rank?

On the Ranked page (your card next to the round) and on the Ranked leaderboard. Your rank also shows next to your name in the Ranked chat.

Seasons

What is a season?

A Ranked season lasts 60 days. At the end, a new season starts and the ladder is reset, so everyone has a fresh chance to climb.

What happens to my stars at the end of a season?
  • Everyone restarts from Warrior 1 with 0 stars.
  • The exception: players who finished the season in Glorious Mythic restart at Master 1.
Do I keep anything from past seasons?

Your VXP and level stay forever. The Ranked leaderboard keeps past seasons so you can look at them. We may also give badges or run contests for top players, announced on the site and covered by the Official rules.

Streaks and missions

How does the daily streak work?
  • Make at least one prediction in a day (a market or a Ranked round), then open Daily missions and press Claim. That adds a day to your streak.
  • The reward grows with your streak: 50 Vpoints on day 1, then +10 each day up to 150 Vpoints.
  • Days are counted in UTC, and everything resets at 00:00 UTC.
  • If you miss a day without a shield, the streak starts again from 1 the next time you claim.
What is a shield?

A shield saves your streak if you miss exactly one day. You earn one every 7th streak day and can hold one at a time. Every 7th streak day also gives you +1 bonus market to create. It is used automatically the next time you claim. Missing two days or more still resets the streak.

What are daily missions?

Every day you get 3 missions: one about markets, one about Ranked, and one social. Examples: make 2 predictions, play 3 Ranked rounds, post a comment. Each pays 30 to 60 Vpoints when you press Claim. Finish all 3 for a 75 Vpoint bonus. Your missions can be different from other players' and change every day.

Do the rewards have cash value?

No. They are free Vpoints for playing, like all Vpoints. They can't be bought, sold or cashed out. Using several accounts to collect rewards is against the Terms.

Leagues

What is a league?

A league is a private group for friends, family or colleagues. You create it, share the invite link, and everyone who joins can see the league's markets, bet on them and compete in the league's own ranking. Nobody outside the league can see anything.

Are league points the same as Vpoints?

No. Everybody starts a league with 1,000 league points. They only exist inside that league, have no value, and never touch your Vpoints, VXP or the public leaderboards. If you run out, you can take a free top-up to 500 once a day.

What if I lose all my league points?

You are never stuck. When you have fewer than 100 league points left, a Top up button appears on the league page and sets your balance to 500 for free (100 is the limit to qualify, 500 is what you get). You can take one top-up per day (UTC). Until tomorrow you can still watch, comment and see results. Your stars are not affected, and they never go below 0.

Can one player win everything?

A player can build a big stack, but the ranking is based on stars, not on points. Stars come from finishing markets in profit, so a player with fewer points can still rank higher. Players who run out can always top up and come back.

Is there a chat?

Yes. Every league has a Chat tab, a group chat only its members can see. It is text only, with no links, and new messages show up within a few seconds. You can delete your own messages, and the league owner can delete any message or remove a member.

Can the creator bet on their own market?

Yes. In a league, the creator plays like everybody else, so a group does not need a second account. Everyone can see who bet what once the market closes. Before that, bets stay hidden.

How does the league ranking work?

It uses the same ranks as Ranked, from Warrior to Glorious Mythic, with no seasons: stars just keep adding up. When a league market is resolved, +1 star if you finished it in profit and -1 star if you finished it at a loss (never below 0). A market needs at least 2 different players to move stars. If nobody is on the other side, everyone is refunded.

Who gives the result?

The person who created the market, after it closes. The league owner can also give the result or cancel a market (everyone is refunded). Results cannot be changed afterwards, so be fair with your friends.

Who runs the league?

The owner can let every member create markets, remove members, make a new invite link (the old one stops working) or delete the league. Leagues are free to play and for fun only. Do not use them for real money.

Invites

How do invites work?

Open Invite friends and share your link. When a friend signs up with it and makes 5 predictions (markets or Ranked rounds), you get +200 Vpoints and they get +100 Vpoints.

Are there limits?
  • The link only works for brand-new players, and each player can use one invite.
  • You can earn rewards from up to 20 invites.
  • Fake or duplicate accounts are not allowed and can lead to reset points or a closed account.
  • Rewards are free Vpoints with no cash value.

Leaderboards

How do the leaderboards work?

The main leaderboard shows the best players by profit, by markets won, and by balance, for this week, this month or all time. To keep it fair:

  • Only markets with at least 3 different players count.
  • Markets you created yourself are not counted.
  • Refunded markets are ignored.
  • You need a minimum number of finished markets to appear.
I found a bug or someone is cheating. What do I do?

Use the Report button on a market or comment, or write to us. Cheating (several accounts, bots, exploiting bugs) can lead to reset points or a closed account.

Alerts, duels, results and events

How do alerts work?

The bell in the top bar shows when a market you played resolved (and whether you won), when your streak is about to end, and updates on duels and reports. Emails are off by default; switch them on in Settings. We never email you about losses, and every email has an unsubscribe link.

What is a “Called it!” card?

After you win, tap Share on the market to get a picture with your call, the crowd's odds and your streak. The link is secret: only people you send it to can open it.

How does a friend challenge work?

Both of you need a prediction on the same market. Send your friend the challenge link; your call stays hidden until they accept. No extra Vpoints are at stake. If you are both right or both wrong it is a draw.

What if a market result is wrong?

If you played a market you can report its result within 72 hours, once per market, with a short reason. The team reviews it and posts a public note. Every market also has a public log of changes (edits, extended closing date, result). If the team finds the result was wrong, balances are corrected by hand.

What are events?

Events group the markets about one big moment, like a tournament or a fight night, with a table of who called it best. Creators can add their own open markets to an event.
